Daniel was born and raised in Ottawa and is a proud resident of the city. He is often described as a people person, and has spent his career representing victims of accidents against insurance companies.
In 2011 Daniel received his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, and in 2012 received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of British Columbia.
Daniel finds his work as a personal injury lawyer rewarding and absolutely loves it.His goal is to make the process as easy as possible. He understands how stressful litigation can be, especially while coping with a serious injury. Michael Adamek
Lawyer
Michael brings a wealth of prior experience from both plaintiff and defence perspectives to Badre Law.
Michael obtained his law degree from Queen’s University in Kingston. He spent four years in Kingston representing clients on various contentious litigation cases, including disability claims, employment disputes, and human rights matters. He acquired a strong appreciation for the personable aspect of legal work, and prides himself on building strong relationships with each of his clients while fighting for their legal rights.
After returning to his hometown in Ottawa, Michael gained experience working for a boutique insurance defence firm, before returning to a plaintiff-focused practice.

Paul D. Mooney
Lawyer
Paul grew up in Ottawa and obtained his Bachelor of Social Science degree at the University of Ottawa. He subsequently received his law degree from the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2004. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005 and practiced in Vancouver for almost 10 years. In mid 2014, Paul returned to his hometown to continue his legal career.
Paul is an experienced litigator with a practice that concentrates on personal injury, property damage and insurance coverage issues, as well as Statutory Accident Benefits. Paul also has extensive experience dealing with boating accident claims, specifically pleasure boat accidents.
Paul’s main goal is to provide quality representation with a focus on practical and efficient solutions. Paul has worked for a number of insurance companies. He understands what it takes to deal with them in order to achieve a resolution that will benefit his clients.
Paul has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Paul also practices in the Federal Court of Canada. He has also been involved in numerous arbitrations as well as private and court mandated mediations.
Paul is also a Certified Risk Manager. He can assist any organization with developing ERM programs, conducting policy and practice reviews as well as working to create comprehensive risk management strategies. He has extensive experience dealing with contractual issues including interpretation of contractual terms, leasing, construction contracts, CGL insurance, insurance procurement, insurance coverage issues and indemnity issues.

Ryan Hamilton
Lawyer
Ryan graduated from Acadia University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Deans List Honours. He later attended Dalhousie Schulich School of Law and the University of Calgary, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2018.
Before joining Badre Law, Ryan practiced family law for several years at a boutique firm in Calgary, Alberta. A highly compassionate and intuitive lawyer, Ryan works hard to solve problems for his clients, advocating for them in the courtroom and outside of it.
He prides himself on his strong negotiation skills and pragmatic approach to bring about timely resolutions. When negotiation is not possible, Ryan can rely upon his extensive litigation experience, which involves numerous court applications, special applications, mediations, early intervention case conferences and judicial dispute resolutions.
He has appeared in all levels of Court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal.

Tasha Carriere
Legal Assistant
Tasha humbles herself in learning from people of all backgrounds while she also loves to share her ideas with those around her. In 2020, she received an Honours Degree in Paralegal Studies at the Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning in Toronto.
She had previously completed a field placement during her schooling at a traffic tickets firm, where she had the pleasure of participating in discussions with court clerks, prosecutors, and pleading on behalf of clients in short preliminary hearings. During the summers, when returning to Ottawa, she worked on various initiatives at retirement and nursing homes.
Tasha prides herself in advocating for mental health and justice, and has always felt happiest when the clients are happiest and works hard to achieve this as she assists her team.

Wanda Crosby

Wanda graduated from Cape Breton University in 1999 with a Paralegal Technology Diploma. She joined Badre Law in 2018, bringing over 20 years experience and extensive knowledge in handling serious personal injury claims and complex accident benefits disputes.

Olha Hedz

Olha is a graduate of the Law Clerk program at Algonquin College. She is a practicing Legal Assistant at Badre Law Professional Corporation. She is Fluent in English and Ukrainian and is happy to serve clients in both of these languages.

Carlos Ortiz
Licensed Paralegal
Carlos has worked as a law clerk and paralegal in Toronto since 2000. Carlos received his Paralegal Diploma from Yorkville College in Toronto in 2002 and became licensed as a paralegal by the Law Society of Ontario in 2008.
Carlos has been involved in claims involving income replacement benefits, non-earner benefits, caregiver benefits, attendant care, medical and rehabilitation expenses, and housekeeping and home maintenance expenses.
Carlos has represented accident victims in connection with mediations before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (“FSCO”), as well as at private mediations. Carlos has extensive experience with the arbitration of accident benefits claims at FSCO, License Appeal Tribunal (“LAT”) Divisional Court and he has appeared at numerous pre-hearings at FSCO, LAT Case Conferences, FSCO and LAT Hearings. Carlos has attended hundreds of mediations, pre-hearings and settlement conferences.
Carlos also deal with LTD and CPP claims on behalf of disabled people. Carlos has dealt with a variety of complex catastrophic injury cases, cases involving traumatic brain injuries (“TBI”), serious orthopaedic injuries, claims involving PAF (Pre-approved Framework) MIG (Minor Injury Guidelines), and a wide variety of other claims.
Carlos deals extensively with medical experts including doctors, specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, case managers, and other health care providers, as well as economic loss experts such as forensic accountants and actuaries.
Carlos is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, regularly update his legal skills and knowledge by attending seminars, giving presentations and other continuing education programmes given by the Law Society of Ontario and other organizations.
